New Polo - Can be better

Radio is cheap looking.
No aux-in.
No usb input.
No ipod controls.
No media-in options.
After markets shops should get ready some VW retrofit kits.










Black leather is nasty. Avoid. Or ask for full leather finish like truffle.

No paddle shifters. Manual gear change only on the lever.










Glove box a little small but has some nice niches for pen and such.








Side mirrors does not fold



Handbrake a little hard to operate with armrest down

Some truffles on your Polo?

The locally fitted truffle leather is a better choice over the black. The secret is simple - full leather while the black is a poor combination of vinyl and front leather surfaces. The prints and the colour tones does not match up.

New Polo

This car was the one we wanted to get to replace the Jazz.














It is a nice little car. Engine is adequate but the 7-speed DSG really makes it a peppy and smooth entertainer.

If you don't see how bad the leather supplied by VGS is.... you will after you see my spanking new leather by Jackspeed.



Smooth texture and fine grain now matches that found on the handbrake, gear knob and steering wheel.

VGS, please.... give the Golf the standard it deserves.

06th June 2009 My gosh I have a leaky REAR

Oh dear, this is not very good. The first impression has started well but a leaky rear windscreen nozzle is baffling. Drips of water leaked out for no clear reason. The leaky water stained the glass!




I am so sorry, pointed, cute... uh... I leaked !!

05th June 2009 Poor leather NO THANKS

The leather seats given by VGS didn't look to me at all. The grain was coarse and the stitching quality is marginal. To make matters worse, it is combination leather.

Solution: Opt out of the leather.
Benefit: Get a $1200 discount.

VGS registered my white baby on the 4th June 2009. It was delivered to us the next day.

VW's delivery facility is impressive. 3 separate rooms were built on the right wing of the showroom just for delivery.

My impression? All cars should be delivered like that !
